First Day Greetings!

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

It was a most magnificent morning at Yoga on the Beach as we kicked off our season.  The ocean was flat calm and the mostbeautiful shade of blue.  As Don begin to bring us to center and inward I was completely distracted by a pod of dolphins leaping behind him as if to say welcome back!   I breathed in their joy, and breathed out deep appreciation to them.

A slight breeze kept us cool, as the blue of the sky brought a sense of spaciousness to the practice.

Supine, Divine

As our practice took us onto our backs I looked up at the green of the pines, and noticed a few birds observing us as we stretched our legs and back.  The feeling of welcome was all around us.

Embraced by the warmth of the sun we continued our practice to honor the full moon today in moon salutation.   Opening the side body is such a delight, as we breathed through our ribs like gills opening and expanding all around our hearts.  Ahhhh!

Today I felt appreciation all around me in nature and with my fellow students.  Tomorrow I look forward to sharing this experience with you again, virtually or on the beach.
